THE MYSTERY IS SOLVED WHEN OUTER CAUSE CHANGES TO INNER ACCEPTANCE
The researchers of HP/SOS (Holographic Psychology/Science of Spirit) are often asked to explain the above terms in simple words or in a brief sentence or paragraph.
We could say that the research is about human nature and its relationship to the divine.
We could say it is about human knowledge and its limitations.
We could say it is about human understanding and the realities humans believe as a result of that understanding.
We could say it explains how and why involution produces evolution.
These general statements are all true about the research but they tell us little or nothing about the actual principles being discovered.
The major problem with trying to explain anything that is complex in simple words is it just can’t be done.
HP/SOS requires a background in numerous areas of knowledge (both secular and sacred) in order for an individual to begin to participate in its research.
For example, until the physiology of a human’s brain is investigated a human believes in what HP/SOS has named first reality that the five senses are what perceives and understands the out-there world.
 |
Humanity’s early ancestors no doubt only needed their five senses to survive their hostile environment, however humanity today needs more than their five senses to survive.
This belief that humans perceive their world with only their five senses is false and the discovery of its being false is a result of recent scientific investigation.
The meaning and feeling relating to data believed to be coming from the five senses is not the result of the five senses but the processes within the brain.
No one sees, hears, smells, tastes or touches the meaning and feeling of one’s reality. Meaning and feeling are a result of one’s interpretation of the conditioning that has taken place in one’s brain.
The following picture illustrates this point:
 |
The two dancers are images on the occipital lobe of the brain where meaning and feeling (interpretation) of the images takes place. An individual “sees and understands” with his/her brain not with his/her five senses.
The hardware of a computer is dependent on the software in order to process any information. Science has discovered that a human brain is dependent on its “memory bank” within its brain which determines the way s/he responds to his/her out-there world (reality).
HP/SOS has a graphic that helps us understand this change in how we perceive our world. We use it to explain why and how the source of our current knowledge is dependent on our brain and its current interpretations.
THE OBSERVER
Of primary importance in the study of any and all IDEAS is the role of the observer - YOU and I perceiving the “observed”. Unless and until we have determined the means by which we comprehend reality, of whatever sort, there is the risk that we will continually mistake what we “see” as an authentic, genuine reality, rather than what it actually is: a collection of assumptions (metaphors) we ourselves verify using our currently held belief system. If we alone verify reality, how can we be sure it is “in fact” the reality we assume it is?
This graphic is for an individual that is awakening to what we have named The Location of Comprehension (LOC). Until we realize the implications of this graphic, we are unaware of the most important aspect of consciousness. Who and What it is that we are actually observing. What makes up our current reality?
Understanding this graphic allows countless problematical areas to be explained. We never see the outside world directly because what we actually observe is the result of a process of evaluation that is given its meaning and feeling as a result of our self-image (current biases, prejudices, subjective opinions, and countless other influences that color and determine our current self-image).
After a person is capable of locating where and how s/he understands his/her reality, s/he is empowered for the first time to be a decision-maker as to how and what response s/he will give to his/her current experiences. S/he is now aware that it is his/her own habits and not his/her past or an outside world that is causing his or her reactions.
This is the beginning of a second reality in which choice is rational for the first time. As long as first reality habits (current acceptances or beliefs) rule one’s behavior there is no self, I, ego or person that is responsible for changing one’s reactions believed to be outer caused.
The first problem in explaining the research of HP/SOS is: we must answer the question of what is the source of knowledge that a human brain uses to understand its reality.
The first answers that science came up with when investigating how humans understand reality became a running argument between two sciences. The biologist claimed it is genetics and the psychologist claimed it is the environment.
Many people argue that reincarnation is a principle that explains how and why an individual can have experiences that do not fit his/her current life. The biologist with his/her theory of genetics removes the need for a reincarnation theory because a human’s past is covered by the genetic hard wiring of every human.
 |
To give a rough idea of the awesome past the above assumption would include, HP/SOS uses the above graphic to show the suggested history of the current human species. This graphic shows the genetic potential that is available within each human.
Dr. Carl Jung gives us an idea with his graphics of how and why a human can have this genetic “hard wiring” without knowing it.
These graphics are found in Dr. Jacobi’s book The Psychology of C. G. Jung on pages 7 and 34.
 |
The lower graphic from page 34 shows a kind of psychic tree. At the very bottom (H) lies the collective unconsciousness or “central energy” as Dr. Jung called it.
The central energy runs through all the different levels; it lives in them all and cuts across them to the individual psyche.
As Jung says, “The collective unconscious contains the whole spiritual heritage of mankind’s evolution born anew in the brain structure of every individual”.
The argument between genetics and environment is not a problem for HP/SOS because we include both. The history of how we learn has been complex with opposing viewpoints. Kant was given this problem by Hume in which Kant agreed with Hume. People do not see the thing itself. What humans “see” is a subjectively interpreted structure. Kant was asked how humans “get” their subjective structure and he answered, “from God”.
Kant was not the first to recognize the false belief that humans see and understand the world directly. Plato recognized this problem with his Allegory of the Cave parable in which humans mistook shadows on the wall of a cave as their actual reality.
 |
We now have two different realities in which humans learn the data that is their reality, as inner genetics and/or outer environment. Kant added a third which was God as the source of our knowledge, which raises the question of which God?
HP/SOS has developed a graphic to help explain how and why different religions in first reality understanding believe themselves to be unique and different from other religions.
Before showing a graphic of how and why different religions believe that they are different, it is necessary to understand how and why humans believe that what they say is fact or truth.
I (subject) BELIEVE IN _____________ (named thing or object).
In first reality, the subject or believer is unaware that her/his belief is an evaluation within her/his own comprehension that is based on her/his current level of understanding. It is irrelevant how s/he spells the word that s/he places on the object line. Beliefs are in the believer’s brain and are not in the person, place or thing (label or word) s/he places as the object of his/her belief. This is why prayer is practicing a faith within the believer that has worked and continues to work for every religion (and non religion) throughout history. The belief or faith in help being possible produces the help one is praying for when actualizing change, even when still believing that it is the name of the object prayed to that is producing the change. It is also faith that works for science because it is quite impossible to observe and evaluate anything without one’s current beliefs governing the process of one’s behavior (consciously or unconsciously).
How can this explosive change be understood (in first reality) when humans, believing in that reality, have been fighting each other over whose God or Goddess, etc., is the right one (right name) to pray to? First reality requires submission or the acceptance of someone else’s world view labels as one’s reality, without knowing that the spelling of the object prayed to is irrelevant. The power of belief is in the believer.
First reality requires a person to be a follower of someone else’s opinions. In contrast, a second reality decision-maker is open to options (the ability to replace unacceptable beliefs with acceptable beliefs) evoking change. Remember, the belief is in the believer, not in the words of the object.
Humans have been killing each other for centuries over who spells their object of belief correctly. We accept someone else’s definitions and then fight our entire life defending those definitions as our truth or certainty (reality) until second reality “kicks in”, where we become aware of what we are doing philosophically and psychologically.
We have named this paradigm shift “second reality”. We have named the ability to locate one’s own beliefs within his or her self, “location of comprehension” (LOC).
The missing link has been that humans begin their learning in a given culture with its own language, representing its world. There has been no reason to question what an individual is told as fact or truth as long as a culture is controlled by secular and sacred authorities in charge of what one is to believe. Until science began about three hundred years ago there were no alternatives to the rules and regulations of a culture except philosophies.
This is why philosophy has been banned by many cultures except the philosophy prescribed by the current rulers, both sacred (clergy) and secular (political).
The graphic below helps explain why there are levels of comprehension that determine how an individual relates to his/her world and themselves.
 |
We now have three possible answers to how a human relates and learns about his/her world which HP/SOS has named three realities.
How can HP/SOS put into one sentence or paragraph what we have already said? What we have already said, however, sets the stage for our understanding why there have been continuing arguments throughout history as to which of the above sources of learning one should believe, as well as the beliefs themselves.
The answers to these questions were comprehended after scientists in the twentieth century began studying the nature of human behavior and over the century developed four different psychological systems or schools.
Until the development of these psychological systems, humans kept filling libraries with books arguing about the truth or fact of genetics or environment or God. Most humans are still choosing sides in this ongoing argument when determining what is fact or truth.
HP/SOS has been able to use the four psychological systems or schools for our research because each psychological system uses a different cosmology to justify its system.
HP/SOS found that these cosmological systems correlate to human behavior as a human evolves through three different stages or levels of understanding.
They are briefly:
1. Behavioristic and Psychoanalytic psychological systems both use genetics and environment as conditioners of the brain and nervous system of a human’s body. This is the belief that an individual is the effect (victim) of external causes or one’s environment and internal causes or genetics. This individual will argue definitions as if the definitions are the things the words are describing (thoughts are things). There is no self, I, ego or person to arbitrate between differing definitions. One’s conditioned brain reacts to any data that does not agree with its current conditioning. The cosmology of this stage is materialism. HP/SOS names this level or stage first reality.
2. Humanistic Psychology uses both genetics and environment with the added hypothesis of a human becoming a self, I, ego or person that is capable of discovering and expressing an awesome potential. The birth of a self, I, ego or person enables this level or stage to reflect on one’s current conditioned brain and has the capability of being empowered to make choices to change or replace unacceptable acceptances or habits. This is an ability of having awareness of awareness. This is the stage of self-help systems which assume that it is the human causing change (I create my world). The cosmology can still be materialism. Often in this stage occult teachings can be important. HP/SOS names this level or stage second reality.
3. Transpersonal Psychology as a system has the advantage of using genetics and environment with an addition that brings a different God into one’s awareness. The mentalism of Humanistic Psychology is changed to consciousness with the recognizing of universal consciousness which explains why and how the first two levels operate as they do. This is a cosmology of all three systems, material, mental and spiritual, in which the spiritual is also thought of as the Transcendent Aspect of a universal consciousness. HP/SOS names this level or stage third reality.
Question: Are you saying that an individual human is more than a body with a brain? Answer: Yes, yes, yes. Not only is a human more than a body with a brain but a human is an extension of an INFINITE I AM. This is why HP/SOS research is so complex. It explains the levels and/or stages that humans have discovered and lived throughout history.
Question: How can an individual be more than they believe they are? Answer: Great question. Very few humans throughout history have had any idea of who they are other than what authorities have told them to believe. This is why even in today’s world most people still only believe what they have been told is true about their world and themselves by their secular and religious authorities.
Question: Why should I believe what you are telling me if what you are telling me differs from what I currently believe? Answer: Another fantastic question. The answer is that until humans had the psychological schools to structure their behavior they had no method to test the possibility that what they believed could be limiting their lives. For example, why would a human be capable of questioning what s/he has accepted as truth if there is no self that is motivated to do so? There is no self in first reality. Why or how would a human with a limited self-worth “conditioned brain” understand that s/he had anything to do with his or her beliefs as long as s/he had something external to blame other than his or her own “conditioned brain” (beliefs) justifying his/her current situation?
Question: Are you suggesting that humans can have an awesome potential and be incapable of being aware of it? Answer: Another great question that needed science to have some system of verifying what a human believed and the behavior his or her beliefs produced. That is the importance of the psychological schools, because they are the differing cosmologies that humans have expressed throughout history. For example, most humans think of their current life as the sum total of what they currently know which is the behavior expressed in Behaviorism and Psychoanalysis (first reality). A few humans are waking up to a human’s potential and they are motivated to actualize their dreams, which happens with the awareness of Humanistic Psychology (second reality). A small number of humans are motivated to discover their transcendent aspect which is recognized within the awareness of Transpersonal Psychology (third realty), explaining the first two levels. HP/SOS is showing how all three levels function and HP/SOS exposes the dramatic difference in the way each level is lived.
To begin to understand HP/SOS research all of the above is helpful to be cognizant of because all of the above plays a part in the HP/SOS methods for testing its theories.
The research of HP/SOS is like a jigsaw puzzle because discovering the pieces to complete the puzzle is necessary in order to understand its wholeness. The many parts of the nature of a human require many multiple aspects to be comprehended before one is in a position to test HP/SOS principles. Each part plays a major role in the whole picture and each part is important.
This is why HP/SOS bases its theories on human history in every field of knowledge. Each field of knowledge is a part of the puzzle.
As we explain the importance of the HP/SOS principles we will start with the period of early human history when they first learned to write languages. This will help us understand how and why humans believe what they do and the basis of that belief.
THE BIRTH OF WRITING
The Sumerians’ greatest accomplishment was the invention of writing, beginning as early as 3300 B.C. Propelled by the need to record business transactions for stored or traded goods or to keep count of numbers of products, the Sumerians invented bullae-soft clay balls that were hollow inside. Buyers or sellers would press sharp tokens into the clay and place them inside. Deeper indentations meant larger quantities. In case of a dispute, the balls could be opened and the tokens counted. This record keeping rapidly advanced to pictograph-simple representations of the object being traded. Merchants used clay seals to roll on and impress their signature to close the deal.
In time the Sumerians found ways to express more complex ideas by combining symbols, for example, using the pictograph for water and a likeness of a mouth to express “to drink”. Over the centuries the pictographs became ever more abstract and began to express syllables. Working with wedge-shaped reeds, the impressions became known as cuneiform, from the Latin word for wedge. This form of writing continued to develop and expand and eventually conveyed the first laws and literature.
 |
Ancient Sumer was a fertile land between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers that the Greeks later named Mesopotamia.
It is believed that this land brought forth abundant crops to support tens of thousands of people. About 5,000 years ago the Sumerians organized large cities of mud-brick buildings. They established divisions of labor, invented a written language, devised a system of laws, educated their young, and prayed to a pantheon of gods. The gods included An of the heavens, Enlil of the air, and Enki of the waters, as well as gods of other natural phenomena and patron gods for every city.
In the West both Greece and Rome had a pantheon of gods and goddesses. Writers like Homer and Hesiod wrote stories about how the gods created the world and how the gods related to humans.
To give you an idea of how prevalent myths were in both Greece and Rome there is below a graphic of some of their gods and goddesses.

In the modern West these gods and goddesses became known as mythological figures, however, this negative meaning classified the stories as being fiction or superstition told by ancient people.
This meaning is quite false as we discover when studying language because myths are actually metaphors or language that people have always used to describe their reality in every century and in every culture.
This is clearly stated in a book about mythology by Richard Cavendish.
“Mythology is the study of the imaginative traditions through which man attempts to understand and control the world about him and reconcile himself to life’s tragedies and sorrows. Many myths are tales of gods, ancestors and supernatural beings of the distant past and of how things came to be as they are. Everywhere in the world they have a profound influence on human attitudes and behavior. They contain a society’s vision of its past, present and future. Myths are an integral part of every society, including our own.”
Question: Are you suggesting that every belief about God is a myth? Answer: Yes, yes, yes. The graphic on page 6 explains that a human does not deal with the actual world in how s/he understands the actual world. Humans deal with a “virtual reality” of beliefs with a brain that is conditioned to give meaning and feeling to the belief. The modern word for “myth” is “metaphor” because we symbolize our reality with language within our brain. Because first reality mistakes words for things it is assumed that the person, place or thing being described by words is the thing itself (that thoughts are things). Only after second reality do humans become aware that understanding relates to beliefs and not to actual things. This is why beliefs work regardless of the name being given to one’s God. Third reality awakens a human to his/her transcendent aspect which is what first reality named “God”. That is why one’s prayer corresponds to the individual’s degree of acceptance of God’s wholeness one’s brain has been conditioned to believe. There is a dictionary with 2,500 different names and descriptions of so-called gods. They all are important because of the nature of the human using the different names in their prayers. Humans do not relate to many different Gods, humans relate to a single source that his/her conditioned brain validates as reality. Humans never see an outside world, humans see and feel and express levels of understanding of an INFINITE I AM. It is irrelevant how humans spell the name of their God. This is because third reality explains what Dr. Holmes taught, “that a human uses a Universal mind whether s/he is aware or not”. It is our beliefs that validate our realities about ourselves and our world.
Question: Are you suggesting that I do not see you? How could a human communicate if our senses did not “tell” us about our world. Answer: That is why the world still has people struggling with each other. It is the false belief that we see the world directly that keeps humans in the ignorance of struggle. Our senses give us data about our external world. Our conditioned brain describes that data. It is my brain’s conditioning that determines how I see you. I never see you directly. History gives us evidence of this ignorance with the constant wars between people and nations. Fear is faith in ignorance when that fear relates to other human beings instead of the conditioning of one’s brain.
Question: Are you telling me that a human’s ancient ancestors that had a hostile world to escape or be destroyed can still be a current human’s conditioning? Answer: Yes, yes, yes. That is the importance of genetics which helps us understand why ignorance of the past can and does continue to be ignorance of the present. Using the graph on page four, showing the birth of homo sapiens, we have a better idea of the time involved in our genetic make-up. When humans are capable of relating to their collective unconscious the way the Jung graphics expose it on page five, humans are no longer thinking of themselves as separate islands.
As his/her transcendent aspect of his/her nature is included in his/her reflections, s/he will be ready to study the HP/SOS principles.
This is a complete change in focus. Instead of believing that a human deals with an outside world, s/he is now aware that s/he deals with a subjective “virtual reality”, made up of countless centuries of beliefs and a venerability of what Dr. Ernest Holmes called “race consciousness” or the current thinking and feelings of his/her culture (environment).
It is this change of focus that HP/SOS has named second reality. It is this change in focus that enables one to reflect on one’s conditioned brain, including any innate “hard wiring” of one’s genetic past (over one million years).
We can now explain the important title of this article. Why cause and effect of first and second reality changes to acceptance by degree in third reality.
First and second reality relates to an individual as a separate island with finite potentials. His/her belief system justifies his/her beliefs with a life verifying his/her beliefs in the limitations of a human being.
There is no way for a limited conditioned brain in first and early second reality to have a conscious awareness of an unlimited, eternal nature. This was the breakthrough of Dr. Holmes when he declared that a human’s mind was an unrecognized universal mind.
First reality thinks of “mind” as an epiphenomenon of the brain. Dr. Holmes recognized “mind” as separate from the brain and as the connection humans have to their actual source, an INFINITE I AM.
Third reality justifies an unlimited eternal potential desiring actualization. Such a belief is considered heresy or ignorance in first and second reality that is dealing with separate individuals and will also believe in a separate God.
Again we turn to Dr. Ernest Holmes and his first textbook Science of Mind published in 1926. He shows the three stages of spiritual, mental and physical on page 135.
 |
HP/SOS is writing the next chapter of Dr. Holmes’ Science of Mind principles, including the major discoveries about the human being that have been happening since his passing in 1960.
The behaviors exposed in the different psychology schools make it very clear why a human evolves through different stages within an INFINITE POTENTIAL rather than stages that are limited in an individual.
HP/SOS helps us understand the genius of Dr. Ernest Holmes. He did what no one else had ever done. He recognized and synthesized the writings of both East and West. Prior to his realization, there existed only continuing philosophical arguments as to which author in which culture has the truth about God and reality.
He predated Humanistic and Transpersonal Psychologies by over forty years by discovering the continuing problem in the disagreements over who or what to believe about God. He discovered that it was not a problem about God but a problem of how humans understood the nature of a human being.
Dr. Ernest Holmes wrote the first “Spiritual Psychology”. His famous exposure of “universal mind” as the only mind which is used by every human being made a psychological method possible in which it did not matter what a human had been taught in any culture.
Dr. Holmes’ method worked because he changed the definition of what the nature of a human is and the actual source of human behavior.
On page 77 of Dr. Ernest Holmes’ 1926 textbook he states his awesome breakthrough: “Only One Mind
There is no such thing as your mind, my mind, his mind, her mind and God’s mind; there is just Mind in which we all live, move and have our being. There is Mind and nothing but Mind. We think of Conscious Mind and Spirit as One and the Same.”
On page 30 of an updated Science of Mind textbook Dr. Ernest Holmes states:
“Everyone is Universal on the subjective side of life, and individual only at the point of conscious perception. The riddle is solved and we all use the creative power of the universal mind every time we use our own mind.”
On page 34 of the same textbook Dr. Ernest Holmes states:
“The mind which we discover within us is the Mind that governs everything. This is The Thing Itself, and we should recognize its simplicity.”
Question: Isn’t that pantheism? Hasn’t that philosophy been around since the Hermetic and Vedanta teachings? Answer: Great observation, however, who has been capable of understanding such teachings as levels of understanding? That is the breakthrough that Dr. Holmes discovered. It is not a human and God, it is the “oneness” principle that there is only God. A human is a stage within God, not the other way around. In first reality, God is made in the image and likeness of a human. This is why level understanding is so important. Human understanding is very limited before realizing a transcendent source.
Question: Are you saying that all creation is God? Answer: Yes, yes, yes. A blade of grass, a dog, a tree, a human, a galaxy, are all an extension of an INFINITE I AM. This is why a paradigm shift into second reality is necessary to understand a different God from the God believed in first reality as a He, She or It.
HP/SOS uses panentheism rather than pantheism because it better describes God being all, however, every manifestation is not expressing ALL OF GOD, except in potential.
Until the 1960s and 1970s we did not have a Humanistic or Transpersonal Psychology investigating the behavior of a human being as a science.
This is why Dr. Holmes is such a genius. He did not join the ancient argument about “the nature of God”, instead he opened the doorway to a different nature of the human and the rest of creation.
Question: Isn’t self-image psychology an exposure of how and why an individual believes what s/he is taught by his/her mentors? Answer: You have asked a level question. There is no self in first reality to ask or answer such a question. In first reality a human is a body with a brain that responds to questions with a conditioned brain.
That is why first reality argues definitions without having any awareness as to what is happening. Remember, in first reality a conditioned brain acts as if “thoughts are things”. An individual is limited to his/her conditioned brain’s acceptances or beliefs.
Question: Is this change from being a limited human to an extension of an INFINITE I AM the reason that Dr. Holmes had two different methods when practicing treatments? Answer: How could a human being be aware of an infinite potential when s/he is still fighting to survive as a separate being? Yes, Dr. Holmes was aware that a human awareness had to “argue” with his/her limitation beliefs before a universal mind could make any sense. Dr. Holmes gives us two methods in which people have the potential to practice acceptance of their universal mind by arguing with their current limiting beliefs or if they have discovered their transcendent aspect they can “feel as if” change is already accepted.
In his current textbook on page 170, he describes these two methods of treatment.
1. In the argumentative method an individual struggles with his or her conditioned brain’s acceptances when affirming change or an acceptance beyond his or her current scope. This is the cause and effect method in which a human is attempting to cause change in a space/time universe by becoming that change which at first s/he is not yet expressing. In other words, as long as a human believes in limitation in any area, to accept fulfillment in an area would be practicing a “lie” to his/her current belief system within his/her brain. This is why the argumentative method is necessary when one’s current level is practicing limitation but they are being motivated to practice the acceptance of change.
2. In the realization method an individual has awakened to his/her transcendent aspect in which the transcendent aspect is no longer trying to cause that which pre-exists. This is feeling as if change already exists or practicing acceptance. This obviously is a different human being after awakening to his/her transcendent aspect.
The argumentative method makes sense when a human still believes themselves to be a finite separate being with limitations. In the human level of understanding without an awakened transcendent aspect, any new idea would be a “lie” to one’s current conditioning. HP/SOS names this argumentative method “refereeing”. This is the push for change or actualization attempting to be accepted. Cause and effect is rational when one is trying to become what one is not.
The realization method makes sense after a human has awakened to his or her transcendent nature where “all is God”. One is no longer trying to cause change as if it did not exist in potential. One is practicing acceptance by feeling as if it already exists. This is why the imagination plays a major role in this process of change. It is the gift of the imagination that takes awareness beyond a brain’s current conditioning. This is also why this focus change is a paradigm shift from a limited human identity to an awakening INFINITE I AM IDENTITY (CHRIST CONSCIOUSNESS).
Most self-help systems use the importance of imagination when attempting to actualize change. Third reality explains why and how the use of imagination is actually acceptance by degree. It is a person thinking and feeling beyond his or her current conditioning and would require a potential aspect that exists beyond his or her current conditioning to make sense. HP/SOS names this “push” to actualize change the awakening of a human’s spiritual DNA.
Question: Is there a difference between intellectual knowing and experientially expressing the known? Answer: This is a question that we did not have an answer to until research began delving into the importance of left/right brain hemispheres. The left hemisphere is dealing with intellect and the right hemisphere is dealing with the imagination and feeling.
We now have an answer to your question about the difference between a human realizing the transcendent and a human struggling in their attempt to practice change before awareness of the difference between an intellectual idea of change and practicing excellence in the desired change. For example, an individual can read or study for twenty years a given subject like golf or tennis and be considered an expert scholar in the subject without having any ability to express excellence in that subject. This is left hemisphere execution. This same individual can actually practice the experience of ever increasing excellence in a subject by using his or her imagination without intellectual study. This is acceptance by degree being the best s/he can be in an area of life’s potential. This is right hemisphere capability. This person is usually thought to be a genius because they are expressing excellence without training. How can one train in an area of discovery that is new to the one expressing what is also new to them?
Humans obviously use both, but in differing degrees.
Question: Is this the difference that some teachers allude to between the small “self” and the capitalized “SELF”?. Answer: Yes it is, however, until we had the psychological schools, we had no science to verify what produced the many differences in human behavior. The use of the two different ways of understanding the “self” was probably the best way ancient writers had in attempting to explain the differences between a finite human I am (self) and an INFINITE I AM (SELF).
Question: Is this finally answering the problem of how a God that is good can create a world with so much evil and suffering? Answer: Your question is showing advanced learning. Until second reality a human is unaware that s/he is dealing with a “virtual reality”. Only after this recognition is a human no longer a victim because a human now has the capability to be both responsible and empowered over his/her acceptance or denial of information. It is in second reality that a human awakens to the part s/he plays in the meaning and feeling of his or her world view. Good and evil are then realized as forms of limitation (the pair of opposites) that result from the acceptance that thoughts are the things language symbolizes. That a person, place or thing corresponds to one’s thoughts which have been accepted as beliefs. When we describe our world, we are exposing our current beliefs about a world of person, place or thing.
Question: Is it then a mistake for humans to try to believe in a God that is only good? Answer: This is a major question that has needed an answer for generations. It is not a question of whether God is only good which has always required a denial of evil in the world, or to “create” an opposing force of evil, the devil or Satan, that is responsible for evil in the world. The question is a first reality question in which the pair of opposites dominate the language system of subject/object person, place or thing. After second reality has awakened, an individual is in charge of his/her language use, realizing his/her language is a description of his/her own belief system. Second reality opens the doorway to a new process language model in which an individual is in charge of meaning and feeling as a dynamic of consciousness that is no longer a description of a person, place or thing. It has never been a question about the nature of God that a human is capable of answering with a human’s limited belief system still practicing struggle. The nature of God awakens as the human begins to awaken to his or her transcendent nature of an unlimited potential. It is not God that changes, it is a human’s transcendent aspect that changes a human’s conscious awareness from being separate.
This is why HP/SOS is the next chapter in the Science of Mind text, bringing us awesome discoveries, and verifying the research that has taken place in human understanding since Dr. Holmes left this dimension in 1960.
This is why to understand his definition of “universal mind” requires levels or stages of comprehension for a human’s scope to grasp the awesome potential suggested by such a theory. This is why cosmology changes require paradigm shifts in identity.
Question: Does this expose the possibility of a human having an afterlife? Answer: Great question. Yes, yes, yes. It also explains out-of-body and near death experiences of “light” people. Life is eternal but not in the form of a human body with a brain. Multiple dimensions and parallel universes are finally being discovered by science to help explain the awesome nature a human is capable of realizing. It is the importance of inner space that is finally being recognized by some scientists.
HP/SOS discovered that the psychological schools supply the necessary research to justify how a human can relate to a universal mind after the paradigm shift from human to divine identity.
This is why a baby born in any culture on planet Earth is automatically this awesome potential possessing an innate capability to actualize in a beneficial or a detrimental way. HP/SOS shows, however, that until second reality awakens in later years, s/he will probably live and die with the world view taught to him or her by his or her culture, environment and genetics.
First reality has dominated human behavior for too long. It is time for an awakening to the awesome potential awaiting actualization within every human in every culture. This will be the end of having to follow “masters” and the beginning of each individual realizing “SELF MASTERY”.
When the principles of Science of Mind and Spirit are understood, planet Earth will have a new humanity. The cause/effect rationale expressed as personal identity in first and early second reality is replaced in third reality as a universal identity practicing acceptance. It is the opinion of our research team that this “new humanity” is already being exposed by individual humans awakening to one or more of the many teachings now available in the market place. For example, here are some of them: 1.1. Dr. Ernest Holme’s Science of Mind based on Universal Mind. 2.2. Neale Donald Walsch’s Tomorrow’s God. 3.3. Barbara Marx Hubbard’s universal species. 4.4. Dr. Jean Gebser’s The Ever Present Origin. HP/SOS is researching into this evolving process in which an individual first begins to understand his/her current reality as a separate individual before beginning to understand his/her INFINITE I AM. HP/SOS justifies every level of understanding as important. HP/SOS explains how and why humans believe differing realities. Question: What is the most exciting discovery of HP/SOS? Answer: With so many exciting revelations or discoveries that HP/SOS principles bring into conscious awareness, it is difficult to choose one that is the most exciting, however, I can answer that question by an overview that third reality makes possible. By HP/SOS exposing the many steps or stages of human evolution, humans are given a structure that justifies each step or stage. 1. The gods and goddesses of first reality (authority worship). An individual is primarily a “slave” in training to his/her environmental mentors. This is the level of culture acceptance that forms an individual’s first belief system. 2. The self as creator of second reality (potential realization). A self is born in which an individual has an opportunity to go one of two ways. A.A. Becomes independent of early training in which his/her genius in some area of creativity can evolve. B.B. Group attachment in which independence is given up in order to conform to group rules and regulations. 3. The eternal SELF of third reality is the beginning step or stage of consciously actualizing unlimited potential eternally (Universal I AM). Little is known about this level as it is a new awareness on planet Earth. It is possible that the “light” people that are witnessed by near death experience people are examples of a human’s next stage. It is a freedom that begins after location of comprehension because individual uniqueness will be expressing in a cooperative manner with his/her world. The following existential questions are answered as a result of the multiple paradigm shifts exposed by the principles of HP/SOS. 1.1. Who am I? 2.2. Where did I come from? 3.3. Where do I go when I die? 4.4. How shall I live? Individual self-fulfillment of second reality changes to third reality UNIVERSAL SELF-ACTUALIZATION.
